| Fantail Bay is situated 50km North of Coromandel on the western side of the Peninsula. The roads North of Colville are unsealed and it takes approx 1hr 10mins to drive there from Coromandel Town. Fantail Bay has a rocky beachfront, and has great fishing opportunities, the Pohutukawa trees provide good shade, it is not really suitable for small children. Fantail Bay is not a booked campground and can take up to 100 campers. Facilities provided: Water, dry vault toilets and cold showers. | |

| Port Jackson campground is situated on the beachfront, 58kms North of Coromandel on the tip of the Peninsula. The roads North of Colville are unsealed and it takes approx 1hr 30mins to drive there from Coromandel Town. Port Jackson has a lovely sweeping golden sandy beach, ideal for swimming, fishing, diving and is safe for children. Port Jackson is not a booked campground. | Fletcher Bay campground is 64km North of Coromandel on the tip of the Peninsula, situated amongst open farmland and native bush. The roads North of Colville are unsealed and it takes approx 2 hrs to drive there from Coromandel Town. Fletcher Bay has a backpacker facility as well as camping sites which are situated right beside the beach, it is ideal for swimming/snorkeling, fishing, diving and is safe for children. Fletcher Bay is not a booked campground. Facilities provided: Water, sunny dunnies and cold showers. | |

| Stony Bay is situated 55km North of Coromandel Town on the Eastern side of the Peninsula, the roads North of Colville are unsealed and it takes approx 1hr 30mins to drive there from Coromandel Town. Stony Bay is a deep inlet flanked by the bush-clad sacred hills of Mt. Moehau. Note that the track to the summit of Moehau is now closed, there is however the Coromandel Walkway which connects to Fletcher Bay. Stony Bay is not a booked campground. | Waikawau Bay is situated 42km North of Coromandel Town on the Eastern side of the Peninsula, the roads North of Colville are unsealed and it takes approx 50mins to drive there. This farmpark is more sheltered than Port Jackson with a large sweeping white sand surf beach, about 3kms long and backed by grass covered dunes. The beach is good for swimming, surfing, fishing and diving. Waikawau Bay takes bookings for the busy Xmas/New Year period from October and can take up to 1000 campers. Please phone for a booking form. Facilities provided: Water, flush toilets, sunny dunnies and cold showers. | |
