Allambee cottages are located within park like gardens frequented by native birds including the rare kereru.  Choose from three large (all over 45 metres) fully self contained cottages which are  modern and very comfortable.  They all have have tea & coffee making facilities, fridge and microwave.  The garden cottage is the largest cottage and has full kitchen. The Pukeko cottage is a two story cottage with a separate upstairs bedroom and the Miners Cottage is the smaller cottage and has lovely views. The bush lodges are a 2km drive through the farm and are surrounded by bush and streams. Lighting, fridge and most of the hot-water heating are provided by a water-powered generator. A woodstove is lit to heat the lodges and cooking is done with a gas cooker inside or a wood-fired BBQ outside. Redwood Lodge is a large Colonial kauri Villa,built in the late 1800's, originally as a gold mine managers residence.It features polished kauri floors, high stud ceilings,original sash windows and some original fireplace fittings and Art Deco lights.
