Published monthly, the 2600 copies of the Coromandel Town Chronicle are distributed to all the letter boxes in Coromandel town and by rural delivery from the Thames Coast to the top of the Coromandel Peninsula, taking in Colville, Port Jackson, Port Charles, Waikawau Bay, Kennedy Bay. It is also sent to the Thames, Coromandel, Whitianga and Waiheke Island Information Centres and to the Whangapoua, Matarangi and Kuoatunu stores, as well as being available at Coromandel Town’s various cafes and shops.

The Chronicle is aimed at providing local information for local people or those with an interest in Coromandel Town; ranging from topical news and issues that are relevant, to the available services or promotions within the community. Readers are welcome to submit stories or letters and local organisations are encouraged to send in information on what’s coming up or happening at their local club or area.

There are regular columns, including a community services list, monthly calendar of events, a gardening column, sports roundup and tide tables.
