Colville Connection - Date 9th March 2012

This 72km ride starts in Colville and passes through hilly country following the eastern coastline to Stony Bay. Top Riders break 3.5 hrs / Average Riders take 5-6 hrs / Casual Riders approx 6-8 hrs.
The Colville Connection - a staple on the adventurous kiwis annual event calendar, situated towards the northern end of the Coromandel Peninsula, an amazing place to get out there and do it!
The Colville Connection is an event set in one of the best off-road / trail playgrounds in the North Island of New Zealand. Its stunning terrain and top quality event location has made this one a major event on the national event calendar.
With three different mountain bike rides available, plus three NEW run / walk events in 2013, all starting and finishing from Colville school, the Colville Connection has an event option for all levels of enthusiasm and ability.

St Patricks Day - 17th March

On the 17th March look out for the St Patrick’s Day celebrations throughout the township – why not partake in the Mussel Kitchens specialty GREENlip Mussel dishes. If you’re lucky enough you might get a GREEN beer @ The Pepper Tree. Slip into your Paddy’s Day get-up and sing it loud with live music @ the Admirals Arms. Enjoy St Paddy’s Day themed drink specials at the Star and Garter

ARC 24/12/8 Adventure Race
mARCH 2013 Date TBC

Running for over ten years, this event brings in participants from all over the world.

The event comprises of three races, the traditional ARC 24 and the ARC 12 adventure races and the  ARC 8. The ARC 8 is a special non-kayaking version of the ARC 12 hour event and can be done without a support crew.

This years events will have a special Service category for teams from the armed services, the police, fire brigades and paramedics.
The races will include the following disciplines: o Sea kayaking - (Not ARC

o Hill, Bush and River running / Trekking / Mountain Biking
o Navigation and Rifle Shooting
o Rope work
o Mystery Activities (high adrenaline factor)

Targa Bambina - March 2013 Date TBC

Targa Bambina New Zealand will be returning to the Coromandel after wonderful feedback from last year's event.  Come and enjoy the spectacular views and wonderful roads whilst taking advantage of the long, summer days.  An event not to be missed! 
When: Date TBC / Where: SH25 Whangapoua Road, Coromandel Town to Castle Rock Cafe at Te Rerenga
Please not that the road will be CLOSED to all traffic over this time.
